    Acceptable Use Policy

    Last updated: August 14, 2026Version 2026-08-14

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use the websites and services operated by Sustainable Life Investments, LLC ("SLI", "we", "us"), including parkpillow.com, sustainablelifeinvestments.com, guest accounts, availability search, e-check-in, guest messaging, reviews, and BnB Rewards!™ by SLI. It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Conduct inside a property is governed instead by the Short-Term Rental Agreement and the house rules.

    1. General Standard

Use our services lawfully, honestly, and in a way that does not harm other guests, our team, our properties, our neighbors, or our systems. If a use is not described below but is plainly abusive, deceptive, or unlawful, it is prohibited.

    2. Prohibited Conduct

    Fraud and misrepresentation

    • Providing false, altered, or borrowed identity information, or an ID that is not yours, at e-check-in.
    • Impersonating another guest, our staff, a booking platform, or any other person or entity.
    • Booking on behalf of an undisclosed occupant, or misstating the size or purpose of your party.
    • Using stolen payment credentials, or filing a chargeback for amounts properly owed.

    Rewards and referral abuse

    • Creating duplicate or fictitious accounts to earn credits or referrals.
    • Self-referral, or referring a person who is not a genuine new guest.
    • Selling, trading, buying, or publicly distributing referral codes or credits.
    • Claiming credit for a stay that did not occur, was cancelled, refunded, or charged back.

    Technical abuse

    • Scraping, crawling, harvesting, or bulk-downloading listings, photos, availability, pricing, or guest data by any automated means.
    • Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of our systems, or attempting to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, or access controls.
    • Accessing an account, reservation, check-in link, magic link, or admin area that is not yours, including by guessing or enumerating identifiers.
    • Introducing malware, launching denial-of-service or credential-stuffing attacks, or sending automated traffic at a volume that degrades the service.
    • Reverse engineering, decompiling, framing, mirroring, or reselling any part of the services.
    • Removing, obscuring, or altering any proprietary notice.

    Content and communications

    • Posting or sending content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, obscene, or sexually explicit.
    • Posting another person's private information — including a photograph of someone who has not consented, an address, or contact details — without permission.
    • Posting content you do not own or have the right to post, including copyrighted photographs. See our Copyright & DMCA Policy.
    • Submitting a fake, incentivized, or extortionate review, or threatening a negative review to obtain a refund or upgrade.
    • Using our messaging or contact forms to send spam, solicitations, phishing, or bulk commercial messages.
    • Harassing our host team or any other guest through any channel.

    Unlawful and off-platform use

    • Using the services to plan or carry out any illegal activity.
    • Using the services to advertise, sublease, or resell a stay, or to list a unit as an event venue.
    • Circumventing a booking platform's terms in a way that exposes us or you to liability.
    • Using our brand names, logos, or photographs to imply an affiliation, endorsement, or partnership that does not exist.

    3. Automated Access

Search-engine crawlers that honor our robots directives are welcome. All other automated access — including scrapers, AI training crawlers, and price-monitoring bots — requires our prior written permission. We may rate-limit, block, or require authentication for any traffic we reasonably believe is automated.

    4. Enforcement

Depending on severity, we may: issue a warning; remove or refuse to publish content; suspend or terminate an account; forfeit rewards credits obtained in violation of this AUP; cancel a reservation subject to the refund terms that apply; refuse future bookings; block network access; preserve and disclose records to law enforcement; and pursue any legal remedy available. Where a violation causes us loss — fines, remediation, or legal costs — the indemnity in Section 19.1 of the Terms of Service applies.

We aim to act proportionately and, where practical, to contact you first. Nothing here obligates us to monitor content, and our decision not to act in one case does not waive our right to act in another.

    5. Reporting a Violation

Report abuse, a fake review, or misuse of our brand to hello@parkpillow.com. Report a copyright issue under our DMCA Policy. Report a security vulnerability under our Security Policy — please do not test against production systems beyond what that policy allows.

    6. Changes

We may update this AUP; material changes are posted here with a new "Last updated" date and apply going forward.
