Cookie Notice

This Cookie Notice explains the cookies and similar browser storage used by Sustainable Life Investments, LLC ("SLI", "we", "us") on sustainablelifeinvestments.com and parkpillow.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What Cookies and Browser Storage Are

A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are related browser features that hold data on your device. We treat all of them the same way in this notice: as things stored on your device that we should account for.

2. Categories We Use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function. These cannot be switched off through our site, and blocking them in your browser will break sign-in and form submission.

• Authentication session. Set by our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in to a guest account or the admin dashboard, and to refresh that session. Stored in browser local storage. Persists until you sign out or the session expires.
• Security and abuse prevention. Short-lived values used to validate form submissions and rate-limit repeated requests.
• Check-in and reservation link state. Temporary session values that carry your progress through e-check-in so a refresh does not lose your entries. Cleared when you finish or close the tab.

Functional

• Language preference. Remembers whether you chose English or Spanish so we do not ask again.
• Interface preferences. Small values such as a dismissed welcome dialog or your last search dates, so the site does not repeat itself.

Analytics

Minimal first-party measurement of page views, referrers, and errors, used only to understand how the site is used and to find broken pages. It is not tied to advertising, is not sold or shared, and is not used to build a profile about you.

Advertising — none

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social-media tracking pixels, or cross-context behavioral advertising technology. Because of that, there is nothing to opt out of under the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" provisions of state privacy laws — see Section 1 of our Privacy Policy.

3. Third Parties That May Set Storage

• Supabase — authentication session storage, strictly necessary.
• Cloudflare — hosting and network-level security; may set a short-lived value to distinguish automated traffic from real visitors.
• Map tiles — listing pages load map imagery from a mapping provider when you view a map. The provider sees the request for those tiles.

Booking platforms (Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com) set their own cookies on their own sites, not ours. If you follow a link to a platform, that platform's cookie policy applies.

4. How to Control Cookies

• Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies and site data in its privacy settings, including blocking them for a single site.
• Blocking strictly necessary storage will prevent you from signing in or completing e-check-in.
• Because we run no advertising trackers, browser "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals have nothing to disable on our sites; we honor them by default simply by not tracking.

5. Changes

If we add a cookie category — for example, if we ever adopt advertising technology — we will update this notice, change the "Last updated" date, and present a consent choice before that technology is used.
